The Albedo Foundation has organized an exclusive weekend webinar for those excited to work on hydrological modeling. This webinar is designed to run a rainfall-runoff model and understand the model calibration and simulation process. This is a live online hands-on session; join the workshop and be confident to run hydrological modeling with the HEC-HMS interface.
WHAT IS HEC-HMS?
The Hydrologic Modeling System (HEC-HMS) is designed to simulate the complete hydrologic processes of dendritic watershed systems. The software includes traditional hydrologic analysis procedures such as event infiltration, unit hydrographs, and hydrologic routing. HEC-HMS also includes procedures necessary for continuous simulation, including evapotranspiration, snowmelt, and soil moisture accounting. The software features a completely integrated work environment, including a database, data entry utilities, computation engine, and results reporting tools. A graphical user interface allows seamless user movement between the different parts of the software.
OUR WORKSHOP TRAINER
The workshop trainer has more than three years of experience in flood modeling, geospatial analysis, and programming. He pursued postgraduation in Hydraulics and Water Resources Engineering from IIT Madras. He did thesis work from the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany, and is an expert in using hydrology-related geospatial software tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, SWAT, etc. He has good hands-on Python programming.
